As a general rule, I don’t usually do commissions. But I made an exception and agreed to do a commission for a good friend (who also happens to be the godparent of my fur child).

Her request was that I paint something with the ocean for her boyfriend, as a Christmas present. Her request was pretty vague and she seemed open to my interpretation of the request.

Because I was on a short timeline, I decided to use acrylics.I haven’t used acrylics for years, and have never attempted a landscape painting in them. It was a struggle and I came out even more sure I prefer oil or water color, but at least I was able to create a finished product that I feel good about.
